Financial Aid for Adult Learners
This training is a two-part series for practitioners who work with adult learners.
The first training, Financial Aid for Adult learners, provides a robust overview of the concepts, processes, and timelines for adult students applying for and securing financial aid. Participants will learn about the financial aid available to adult learners, including Workforce Pell, and how financial aid can be accessed.
The second workshop, FAFSA Completion for Adult Learners, offers a deep dive into the FAFSA process for adult learners. Participants will learn how to complete each section of the form, identify and manage the many potential pitfalls for adult learners, and practice with a variety of complex case studies to ensure the content is applicable in their work.

Logistics
Registrants can participate in one or both of the trainings in this series. It is geared towards practitioners who serve adult students to understand the unique aspects of financial aid and FAFSA for adult students.
Why this content?
The concept of "traditional" and "non-traditional" students isn't really accurate in today's landscape - adults aged 25 and over make up approximately 1/3 of the nation's postsecondary student population. Let's ensure that these learners have the support and tools needed to make college an affordable reality.
